This Privacy Policy explains how marketculture ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you use Flip (the "Service"). We act as the data controller for personal data collected through the Service.
1. Data we collect
- Account data: email address, password (stored as a hashed value), and any profile details you provide.
- Content: PDF files you upload, the titles you assign, and the shareable slugs generated for them.
- Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, uploads, publishes, credit spends, and approximate viewing analytics for your flipbooks.
- Device and technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and basic diagnostic logs used for security and reliability.
- Support communications: messages you send us by email or support channels.
- Billing data: purchase history and subscription status. Payment card details are handled by Paddle and are not stored by marketculture.

- To send occasional product updates where permitted by law.
3. Legal bases
Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of a contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Service, compliance with legal obligations, and, where required, your consent.
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only with the following categories of recipients:
- Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for payment processing, subscription management, tax compliance, invoicing, and refunds.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that store our database, files, and serve the application.

We do not sell your personal data.
5. Public flipbooks
Flipbooks you publish are accessible to anyone who has the shareable link. Do not upload content that you do not want to be publicly viewable. You can delete a flipbook from your account.
6. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audit logging, to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; if you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data; to portability of your data; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact support@marketculture.in.
